FAQ

A Virtual Private Server (also called private web server or virtual dedicated server) is a virtual server whose usage is dedicated to the client.
Every VPS uses it’s own allocated Memory, CPU, and disk space, but it is installed on a shared physical infrastructure. It brings the advantages of a dedicated server (configurations, settings, free installations) without having to manage physical hardware.
A backup is a copy of your data that is stored on another physical server.

Several types of backups are offered by us;
Internal backups are performed by us, not by the clients. They take place weekly, daily or hourly, depending on what package you have chosen.

Content Management System.

A solution for managing and publishing content on the Internet.
The best known CMS examples are WordPress, Joomla and Drupal.

cPanel is a control panel to quickly deploy and configure websites, using your VPS or a dedicated server.

CPU (for “Central Processing Unit”) is the servers processor.

A central processing unit (CPU) (formerly also referred to as a central processor unit[1]) is the hardware within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetical, logical, and input/output operations of the system. The term has been in use in the computer industry at least since the early 1960s. The form, design, and implementation of CPUs have changed over the course of their history, but their fundamental operation remains much the same.

Virtual machines use the core concept (or vCore) to quantify the number of thread processing calculations that are allocated.

The OpenVZ is an Open Source virtualization solution based on the Linux kernel.

Plesk is a control panel to quickly deploy and configure websites, using your VPS, similar to cPanel.

RAM (Random Access Memory), describes the read-write memory (in this case, of the server).

Root is the administrative user on the server.

“Root Access” means that you have access to the root directory of the server and that you have full administrative rights without restriction.
